In this MND/ALS video, participants discuss the reactions to the news that they had been diagnosed with MND/ALS. Common reactions to this news can vary dramatically, but can include, shock, devastation, and sadness. It can be a very difficult time for those who have been diagnosed and for their family and friends.  

There is considerable variability between patients in respect of initial symptoms, rate and pattern of progression, and survival time after diagnosis. It is an uncommon, but by no means rare disorder.
