Motor Neurone Disease/ALS
Closing thoughts
MND or ALS is a condition which relentlessly destroys the nerves that control the muscles that enable us to move, speak, breathe and swallow while leaving the intellect and senses generally unaffected.
There is considerable variability between patients in respect of initial symptoms, rate and pattern of progression, and survival time after diagnosis. It is an uncommon, but by no means rare disorder.
These 'Speaking from Experience' clips offer first hand accounts from four people living with MND, their partners and parents.
