Osteoporosis

Background

In this 'Speaking From Experience' video clip, eight people discuss their lives before they were diagnosed with osteoporosis. Participants discuss their family life, employment and other activities that they were involved with.

Osteoporosis is often called the 'silent disease' because of its lack of symptoms and signs. Diagnosis comes from undergoing the appropriate tests, such as a DEXA scan.
