CF Adults
Last Updated: 06-Feb-2009
Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is the most common, life threatening genetic disorder in Caucasians. CF causes the body to produce abnormally thick and sticky mucus in several different parts of the body, most prominently in the lungs and other parts of the respiratory system. It also affects the pancreas, leading to serious digestive problems.
How does living with CF as an adult differ to living with it in adolescence or childhood? Personal stories are a valuable source of information and reassurance. They present first-hand accounts of the day to day challenges others have faced, and give insights into the coping strategies they have used.
