NEW Osteoarthritis: Hip & knee title!
27 Jul 10
Osteoarthritis is a condition that affects the joints, most commonly causing stiffness and pain. Whilst the exact cause of Osteoarthritis is unknown, factors such as genetics and excess weight can increase the likelihood of developing it. For many, joint replacement becomes a necessity, with hips and knees being among the most common joints replaced.
In this program, a range of people discuss how Osteoarthritis has impacted on their lives. Each of them has experienced joint replacement of either the hip or knee, or both. They discuss how having those replacements has changed their lives. They also talk about the importance of keeping healthy and active and the ways that they do so. They also discuss the issue of pain and how they have managed it.
This program is available for purchase at the Speaking from Experience online store.
