RealTime Health receives DoHA grant
26 Jun 09
The grant will fund the development and delivery of a ‘patient narrative' Chronic Disease Self-Management educational resource for all Australian students and teachers, targeting childhood and adolescent chronic illness. The package of six video programs, delivered online as approximately fifty individual video clips or six DVDs, will be developed by RealTime Health (RTH) and made available, at no cost, to all schools in Australia, through The Learning Federation (TLF) network.
RealTime Health founder, Tina Campbell, has more than 10 years experience developing evidence-based patient experience health promotion resources. Curriculum Corporation manages The Learning Federation on behalf of the State and Territory Governments, the Australia Government and the government of New Zealand, delivering digital curriculum content to all Australian schools. The collaboration of RealTime Health and Curriculum Corporation, and with input from The Chronic Illness Alliance, The Aboriginal Medical Service West Sydney, and up to six health support groups, will deliver an evidence-based Chronic Disease Self-Management resource for students and teachers.
The resource is due for release in April 2010.
